Vicki is the founder of Personal Counseling Services (PCS).  The agency first opened its doors for business in August 1991. The goal at PCS is to help families and individuals improve their lives utilizing counseling techniques tailored to their specific needs.  We strive to treat each person who comes in for services with dignity & compassion.  In the complex and often stressful world we live in today, people need a safe haven to explore options for healing.  If you prefer a small private practice setting rather than a large institution, PCS is quite likely the place for you!  We accept self pay and select insurance plans.

Maria Hollo, MA, LPC​

Licensed Professional Counselor


Maria is a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated from UIS with a Masters in Counseling.  She has many years of experience doing assessment and counseling with individuals and groups. She is very passionate about helping clients acquire the tools they need to improve their everyday lives.  Maria loves learning and is always taking additional courses and training to increase her knowledge and skills. She is the authorized program representative for PCS "ACCESS INTERVENTION PROGRAM" as well as a counselor for mental health and behavioral issues.  Maria is able to provide services in Spanish as well as English.



Jessica Thornton

AAS program from Robert Morris University


Jessica is a counselor and assistant facilitator with PCS.  Prior to starting her work in counseling, she worked for many years as a legal assistant for law firms in Central Illinois. She is very familiar with assisting clients during stressful times while working in a confidential and professional environment. Jessica assists with intakes and facilitating groups. She also has experience working with youth and is very interested in prevention. Jessica is currently on track to obtain her CADC credentials.
